Summer research at Harvey Mudd begins! Olivia Russell (HMC ’23) and Sarah Covey (HMC ’24) are continuing with their machine learning project from the Spring with new group member Nic Tekieli (HMC ’24). Ali Talib Saifee (HMC ’23) is starting a new project using cellular automata to model heterogeneous reactions relevant for air quality. Emily Lee (CMC ’24) is joining in a collaboration with Prof. Wloka to look at how we can use computer vision and visual saliency to improve scientific figures for climate communication.
